A few weeks ago I exhibited some paintings in the St Teath Art Exhibition. I was thrilled when Michael Williams, the art correspondent for the Cornish Guardian asked if he could feature my work in a piece he was writing. I agreed, and to be honest, forgot about it! When he phoned me a couple of weeks later I was really surprised and we arranged to meet for the interview and for him to see my studio. It is a strange feeling knowing that what you say, the way you look and react are all made note of, and then written down.
This was followed by a visit from the photographer who seemed to be thoroughly intrigued by the studio and the garden and spent a long time setting up different photos. He took such trouble and time which was lovely.
Now the piece has been published in our local paper which means that many more people will be able to see my work and hopefully I may receive a new commission. Who knows!
