I seem to have been away for such a long time and have thoroughly enjoyed myself but it is SO wonderful to be back home.
The greatest difference that I notice is the growth and colour of the garden. Some plants have doubled in size and are the brightest spring green possible.
We travelled home from the station along one of the back roads from Bodmin, which were lined with a haze of bluebells. To the side under the trees more bluebells and for a good way to the house. Then up the track and there are newborn calves in the field and lambs across from the farmyard.

This afternoon I have got back to some painting – I am working on a portrait of a very famous lady which I will show you when it’s ready!
