The last portrait I did was of Melvin, the new landlord of The Old Inn, St Breward. This one is of Jan who works there and is a super friend. Life has been very busy with the arrival of visitors to the village for the Easter break. The weather was absolutely freezing so it was good that Jan and the other guys at the pub were able to give a warm welcome, a drink and lovely food. One of the visitors bought two of my paintings so I am really pleased!

We had family visiting and had a lovely trip over to Padstow via the ferry, which I have to say was an extremely cold experience! But it was nice to get out for the day and get a bit of fresh air. One thing that I notice when we venture out on the ferry at this time of the year is that the colours are magnificent. I get all inspired and when I get home I lock myself away in the studio and try to capture a little of the buzz of the zest of the sea! I will show that picture another time!
